Dear Dr. Welch,

I wanted to thank you for all you've done for my family over the past several years. When I came to see you for the first time I had stopped driving because I felt I lacked the mobility to safely operate a motor vehicle. I could not turn my head all the way from side to side. This, of course was incedibly painful, and that pain almost never let up. I was at the end of my rope with the internists I'd seen. They prescribed muscle relaxers and when that didn't work I just didn't know what I would do and they didn't seem to have an answer for me.

My husband did some research and found your webpage. He urged me to try a new approach and visit you for an assessment to see if, by some chance, chiropractic medicine was the answer we were looking for. I admit, I was reluctant but I cannot tell you how glad I am that he was right, once again! You listened to my symptoms, you understood the challenges that my symptoms presented in my daily life, and you simply got to work fixing it. Best of all, no more medications to fog my mind every day!

Now, nearly three years later, I look forward to each and every visit, though they are getting fewer and farther between as I progress with my treatment. Golfer's Testament

After many years of rigorous outdoor activity and hours just sitting at my desk, I suffered from debilitating back pain that severely limited my ability to play golf. I met Dr. Welch at a work Health Fair and after a few treatments, I experienced a significant improvement. I can now play more golf, and I am able to do it more often. I was doubtful. I was not knowledgeable about what a Chiropractor could do. When I was 15 years old I had a complete spinal fusion due to Scoliosis. The doctors implanted an 18 inch Harrington Rod into my spine. Now 35 years later and threee children I creaked, ached and was generally in pain from head to toe at times. I heard Dr. Carrie Welch speak at a business meeting which made me approach her and ask "Do you think you could help me?" That is where our journey began. I made an appoinment and before I arrived on the day of my appointment, Dr. Welch researched my spinal condition and other information. When we first met for an evaluation at her office, she listened, not just nodded, she really listened and asked me questions.

We came up with a step by step course of action that would make me feel comfortable and take things one step at a time. She was patient, understood my hesitancy and fear and always asked if I was ready for the next step. We took time to see what would work for me and what wouldn't. First was my neck, I had stressed myself out so that I could not turn my head well from side to side- now I can touch my chin to my shoulder (helps me drive better too seeing over my shoulder versus turning my whole body). Then my ribs, she helped open up the rib cage which had over time become cramped- what a wonderful thing it is to take a full, large and deep breath.

Heat and muscle stimulation helped my over used back muscles relax and stopped seizing up. The deep heat and massage really does wonders on my outlook as well, I found myself getting rid of the stress I was literally carrying around with me. Next step we worked on realigning my hips and easing the pain by gentle manipulation. Over time step by step it has worked. I move better, I have less pain, I sleep better and now I have a better outlook instead of wallowing in my own self inflicted 'why me' state. I have lapses but in just a phone call away Dr. Welch is there to help. She is not a miracle worker but she does what she does really well. Her services helped me in ways I had not realized were available to me. Dr. Welch is always optimistic and willing to trying different things to help. I apprecitated her openness and honesty with me about what may or may not work. She helped me realize that each patient is different, so each procedure will be different for each person. I respect that and am glad that I listened on the day she was speaking, for she has made my life easier by helping me ease my pain and relieving stress.

Her staff is the best too! Kind, courteous, patient, understanding and professional. They take their cues from the wonderful employer Dr. Carrie Welch who exemplifies grace and goodwill.

I am a migraine sufferer, and I suffer regularly from migraines. I experienced migraines approximately every 36 hours, and am seeing a neurologist and taking medication to try to prevent these horrible occurrences.While at a regular visit with you, you indicated that you work with migraine sufferers too, so you began treatment for my migraines (in addition to my regular treatment).

On January 29th at 11:27 AM, I had the signs of an impending migrain and was unsure as to whether keep my scheduled appointment with you at 12:15 PM or to reschedule for a time when I felt better. At the encouragement of my husband and your receptionist, Cynthia, I kept my appointment. You adjusted me knowing that I had a migraine coming on, and I was on my way home to take a new medication my neurologist wanted me to try after my appointment with you. It took approximately 20 minutes for me to get home from your office. By that time, I noticed a marked improvement in my migraine symptoms and did not try nor need my new medicine. My migrained had completely "reversed" itself within 2 hours of my adjustment.

I know you are not a "miracle worker", but I can say that I believe the adjustment you gave me worked in place of my regular medicine. I was happy to NOT need my migraine medicine that day and instead have a less invasive method for managing my migraine pain. I will continue to visit you and be adjusted since I believe that your therapy, in conjuction with the work that my neurologist is doing, is helping me to be migraine-free. I now go migraine-free for about two and a half weeks between occurrences, and I am noticing that time period is growing between occurrences.
